There is no getting away from the very sad fact that a dog's worst trait is that they don't live long enough.
Between you and me, I actually learnt to photograph dogs purely so I could capture wonderful photos of my beloved dachshund Mash, so even when he is gone (am I the only person who has nightmares about that?) I'll be surrounded by photos of us living our best life together.
But you've probably found this page as your dog is advancing in years and you want to make the most of every minute together by celebrating the special bond you share by having some photos of them and hopefully of the two of you together too.
This isn't a photoshoot about hooning around your favourite dog walk (although we can of course do that too)
it's about me coming to you, and taking some gentle, loving photos of you and your dog in your favourite places to
capture the incredible influence your dog has had over your life together so your fond memories can live on.
Maybe the time has come for you to hit the pause button for a day and capture the essence of your dog so their memory can live on forever
If you're looking for a photographer not only loves but understands dogs and is passionate about their welfare then you'll love my approach to taking beautiful senior dog photos.
If the time has come for your senior dog to have their photos taken get in touch! I want to hear all about them and can share ideas of what works best depending on the age of your dog
One thing is for sure, we always only use positive rewards when asking your dog to do something and we only ever photograph one senior dog photo session a day so you have plenty of time without being rushed.
Depending on your dog you can either come to the studio or I can visit your home
Once you've booked your photography shoot, I send out our carefully crafted welcome pack which includes loads of information for a calm and relaxed photoshoot (& of course treatos for your doggo!)
If you're coming to the studio as soon as you're through the gate the garden is totally enclosed so you're free to let your dog off their lead to explore.
When they're ready we'll take the time to introduce them to the studio and props and get comfortable in the new surroundings.
It's only after this that I'll start to take photos, We take it slow and everything I do is based around positive reward based trining techniques so you know your dog is having the best time in their puppy photoshoot!
I fully appreciate that your dog may have some hearing problems and that's absolutely fine, I have lots of lovely comfy chairs they can choose from to recline in style and be in charge of the photo session!
I love to include humans in some of the photos too so make sure you're on your best behaviour so you don't let your dog down!
I know how valuable these photos will be to you so after your dog's photoshoot we'll arrange for you to come to the Studio to see all of your edited images and help you choose your favourites.
We offer print and digital collections, wall art and albums, all hand crafted in the UK from professional photo labs who share our commitment to sustainability.
You'll get a full product guide and price list when you book so you can set your budget in advance allowing you to relax and enjoy every bit of your dog photoshoot experience.
