One of the most common messages I get is from hoomans who love their dog and want a dog photo shoot but are worried they won’t behave? At Love Phodography we’re not worried after all the essence of what we’re looking to create for you is to capture your dog’s personality and if that means them not sitting still, lying down etc then great, let’s run with it!
Just before Christmas Natalie contacted us wanting her 5 month old Shi-tzu Meeko photographed but was a little worried she wouldn’t get the sort of shots she wanted as he was so young and still being trained.
If you’re anything like me I am constantly training Mash, he’ll be 2 in January and although i secretly hope that on January 17th he’ll stop being a teenager and wake up to being the perfectly behaved dog that I long for, I don’t think that’s going to happen! To make the most of your shoot regardless of how old your dog is I recommend as soon as you book your Fine Art Studio shoot you go back to basics with your dog, asking them to sit, stay, walk away from them, down etc on the days running up to your shoot so the skills are fresh and we have the best chance of success!
So the long and the short of it is don’t worry! We want your dog to show it’s character and we’ll do our best to capture it!
Here are a few of my favourites of little Meeko
